Dental Exams & Cleaning

Regular dental exams and cleaning are an integral part to preventative dental maintenance. At Richlea dental, we provide comprehensive exams and cleaning to help you maintain the best oral health possible. Our digital x-ray services enable accurate assessments of your teeth and allow for proper treatment.

At your dental checkup, our dentist will examine your teeth, including evaluating existing dental work, pocket depths, gum inflammation or bleeding to determine your current periodontal health. A Registered Dental Hygienist will also remove plaque and calculus (tartar) through a process called scaling, as well as brush and polish your teeth to remove any remaining stains or plaque. We finish with an application of fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel and further protect against cavities.

For optimal dental health, it is recommended that adults and children have their teeth professionally cleaned every six months in addition to consistent daily brushing and flossing at home.
